General description

The M1000RR's mudguard is much more than just a mudguard. It elegantly combines the function of three previous component in one single unit. The integrated air channels constantly supply fresh air to the brake calipers while riding, reducing the risk of brake fade. Tested under the toughest conditions, it contributes to success in various racing series around the world. For example, it helped the Tecmas Stock Team achieve a commanding victory at the legendary 24h of Le Mans in 2023.

Thanks to the extended side surfaces towards rear, not only is air resistance reduced during riding, but the sensitive fork tubes are also reliably protected against stone chips for the first time.

The main focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, was then coated with a clear plastic coating for protection against environmental influences. This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating not only excels technically; it also significantly accentuates the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
