General description

When state-of-the-art high-tech materials meet modern designs, the result is usually overwhelming. But it's not just the aesthetics that make this extended carbon front fender impressive. Thanks to the latest powder coating technology, it is optimally protected against all common environmental influences. Thanks to its optimised shape, it also protects the underlying radiator. In its factory state, this is constantly exposed to thrown-up dirt and other environmental influences originating from the front wheel. In contrast, the Ilmberger Carbon fender is slightly longer. Just long enough to keep as much dirt as possible away from the radiatorr, yet short enough to blend perfectly with the lines of the motorcycles.
But the front fender unleashes its full potential not only technically, but also visually. Installed in just a few minutes, it significantly enhances the value of the motorcycles. To achieve a particularly harmonious overall look, the fibre layers are expertly laid into the mould and aligned. This ensures the carbon part perfectly conforms to the surrounding shapes of the motorcycles. The more of our parts that are installed and combined, the more overwhelming the result.
For our carbon, we exclusively use prepreg fabric produced specifically for this purpose, which is also used in a similar form in Formula 1 and aerospace. The material, meticulously laminated by hand and hardenede in several stages in an autoclave, impresses not only with its unique appearance but also with its exceptional technical properties. For the same volume, it possesses three times the specific stiffness of steel and, due to its exceptionally low density, only a breakage of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our products due to the high fibre volume content.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from all types of environmental influencesn, we, as the world's only carbon manufacturer, use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. Combined with our clear coat, this creates an unparalleled and unique depth effect that highlights the high quality of the material.
To make not only riding but also fitting a pleasure, we use only the original mounting points for this part.
