The focus is on weight reduction (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from pre-preg material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as usual, subsequently coated with a clear plastic finish to protect against environmental influences. This plastic finish significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. However, the coating not only scores technically but also significantly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
