General description

The left winglet for the BMW M 1000 R replaces the original winglet. Due to its outstanding technical properties, carbon is ideally suited as a material for winglets. To complete the look, recommend we recommend the additional use of the Ilmberger Carbon side panel in combination with the Ilmberger Carbon water cooler cover. The unmistakable look of real carbon with high-quality sealing underlines the aggressive appearance and the brutal power, performance of the new M.

For our carbon, we exclusively use prepreg fabric produced specifically for this purpose, which is also used in a similar form in Formula 1 and aerospace. The material, elaborately laminated by hand and cured in several stages in the autoclave, hardened not only impresses with its unique appearance but also with its exceptional technical properties. For the same volume, it has three times the specific stiffness of steel and, due to its particularly low density, only a breakage of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our products due to the high fibre volume content.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from influences of all kinds from the environment, we, as the only carbon manufacturer worldwide, use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with our clear coat, this provides an unprecedented and unique deep effect, which particularly highlights the high quality of the material.

To ensure that not only riding but also fitting is a pleasure, we use only the original mounting points for this part.
