The wings for the BMW S1000RR 2023 bring aerodynamic advantages to street and the racetrack alike. The new design combines a sporty, modern look with the positive effects on riding behaviour already known from the M1000RR. The left wing can be combined not only with the original side panel but also with the Ilmberger Carbon street and Racing side panel.For our carbon products, we exclusively use prepreg fabric produced specifically for this purpose, which is also used in a similar form in Formula 1 and aerospace. The material, meticulously laminated by hand and cured in several stages in an autoclave, not only impresses with its unique appearance but also with its unique technical properties. It has three times the specific stiffness of steel for the same volume and, due to its particularly low density, only a breakage of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our products due to the high fibre volume content.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from all kinds of environmental influencess, we, as the only carbon manufacturer worldwide, use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with our clear coat, this ensures an unprecedented and unique depth effect, which highlights the high quality of the material.
To ensure that not only riding but also assembly is a pleasure, we use only the original mounting points for this part.
