General description

The right winglet for the BMW M 1000 R replaces the original winglet. Carbon, due to its outstanding technical properties, is ideally suited as a material for winglets. To complete the look, recommend we recommend the additional use of the Ilmberger Carbon side panel in combination with the Ilmberger Carbon water cooler cover. The unmistakable look of genuine carbon with high-quality sealing underlines the aggressive look and the brutal power, performance of the new M.

For our carbon, we exclusively use prepreg fabric produced specifically for this purpose, which is also used in a similar form in Formula 1 and aerospace. The material, elaborately laminated by hand and hardened in several stages in an autoclave, not only impresses with its unique appearance but also with its unique technical properties. For the same volume, it possesses three times the specific stiffness of steel and, due to its particularly low density, also only a breakage of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our products due to the high fibre volume content.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from all kinds of influences from the environment, we, as the only carbon manufacturer worldwide, use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with our clear coat, this creates an unprecedented and unique deep effect, which particularly highlights the high quality of the material.

To ensure that not only riding but also fitting is a pleasure, we use only the original mounting points for this part.
