Weight saving (typically approx. 70% saving compared to the original component) and higher rigidity are paramount. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, subsequently coated with a clear plastic coating for protection against environmental influences. This plastic coating significantly outperforms conventional clear lacquer coatings in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating doesn't just score points technically; it also significantly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
