Product details

Ilmberger Carbon Fairing Side Panel left side L/S, glossy carbon, with ABE according to the application list, for BMW M1000R, Type SM99, Model Year 2023-

General description

The fairing side panel for the M1000R from 2023 replaces the original part and is prepared for mounting the left winglet. The unmistakable look of real carbon with a high-quality finish emphasises the bike's sportiness.

For our carbon, we exclusively use prepreg fabric produced specifically for this purpose, which is also used in a similar form in Formula 1 and aerospace. The material, meticulously laminated by hand and cured in multiple stages in an autoclave, not only impresses with its unique appearance but also with its unique technical properties. For the same volume, it possesses three times the specific stiffness of steel and, at the same time, due to its particularly low density, only a breakage of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our products due to the high fibre volume content.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from influencess of all kinds from the environment, we, as the only carbon manufacturer worldwide, use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with our clear coat, this provides a hitherto unrivalled and unique depth effect, which highlights the high quality of the material particularly strongly.

So that not only riding but also working on the bike is a pleasure, we use only the original mounting points for this part.
