The exhaust heat shield for the Ducati Diavel is supplied with a matt lacquered surface. It thus perfectly matches the original carbon parts. For this thermally highly stressed carbon part, we use special high-temperature prepreg (see FAQ) to prevent discolouration and yellowing. This product replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and higher rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured completely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, coated with a clear plastic coating in the next step to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance and durability.
