The carbon exhaust heat shield in matt finish, for the end pipe of the Ducati XDiavel (from model year 2016), is screwed onto existing mounting points on the vehicle. Our carbon part weighs only approx. 25g! For this thermally highly stressed part, we use special high-temperature prepreg (see FAQ) to prevent discolouration and yellowing. In the matt finish, the Ilmberger carbon part perfectly matches the matt carbon parts originally offered by Ducati Performance. The parts are mounted using original mounting points. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, subsequently coated with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating enormously surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability.
