The exhaust heat shield in carbon, glossy finish, on the end pipe for the Ducati XDiavel (from model year 2016) is screwed onto existing mounting points on the vehicle. Our carbon part weighs only about 25g! For this thermally highly stressed carbon part, we use special high-temperature prepreg (see FAQ) to prevent discolouration and yellowing. In the glossy finish, the Ilmberger carbon part contrasts with the matte carbon parts offered by Ducati Performance. The parts are mounted using original mounting points. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, subsequently coated with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in its protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability.
