General Description

The carbon exhaust heat shield for the Streetfighter V2 is an optical highlight at the centre of the motorcycle. But it also offers technical advantages. Carbon conducts heat less quickly, so the surface appears less hot initially. This better protects the rider's and pillion's legs from burns caused by the manifold.

To achieve a particularly harmonious overall appearance, the fibre layers are expertly laid and aligned in the mould. This ensures the carbon part perfectly integrates with the surrounding shapes of the motorcycle. The more of our parts that are installed and combined, the more impressive the result.
For our carbon, we exclusively use prepreg fabric produced specifically for this purpose, which is also used in a similar form in Formula 1 and aerospace. The material, meticulously laminated by hand and hardened in an autoclave in several stages, impresses not only with its unique appearance but also with its unparalleled technical properties. It possesses three times the specific stiffness of steel for the same volume and, due to its particularly low density, only a breakage of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our products due to the high fibre volume content.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from all kinds of environmental influencess, we are the only carbon manufacturer worldwide to use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with our clear lacquer, this creates an unprecedented and unique depth effect, which particularly highlights the high quality of the material.
So that not only riding but also tinkering is a pleasure, we use only the original mounting points for this part.
Thanks to more heat-resistant resin and additional heat protector on the inside, the carbon will not discolour in the long term.
