General Description

The carbon exhaust heat shield for the Streetfighter V2 is a visual highlight in the centre of the motorcycle. But it also offers technical advantages. Carbon conducts heat less quickly, so the surface appears less hot initially. This better protects the rider's and pillion's legs from burns caused by the exhaust manifold.

To achieve a particularly harmonious overall appearance, the fibre layers are expertly laid into the mould and aligned. This allows the carbon part to blend perfectly with the surrounding shapes of the motorcycle. The more of our parts that are installed and combined, the more stunning the result.
For our carbon, we exclusively use prepreg fabric produced specifically for this purpose, which is also used in a similar form in Formula 1 and aerospace. The material, elaborately laminated by hand and cured in several stages in an autoclave, not only impresses with its unique appearance but also with its exceptional technical properties. For the same volume, it has three times the specific stiffness of steel and, due to its particularly low density, only a breakage of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our products due to the high fibre volume content.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from all kinds of influences from the environment, we, as the world's only carbon manufacturer, use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with our clear coat, this creates an unparalleled and unique depth effect, which particularly highlights the high quality of the material.
To ensure that not only riding but also wrenching is a pleasure, we use only the original mounting points for this part.
Thanks to more heat-resistant resin and additional heat protector on the inside, the carbon will not discolour even in the long term.
