General description
The exhaust heat shield on the manifold for the Ducati 1200 and 1200 S from 2017 replaces the original component using the original mounting points. For the production of parts mounted near the exhaust, we use a very special high-temperature prepreg material to keep discolouration and carbon burn-off as minimal as possible from a current technical perspective.The focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and higher rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then, as is customary for us, coated with a clear plastic finish to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating significantly outperforms the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance and durability. However, the coating not only excels technically, but also clearly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
