General description

The 2-piece exhaust heat shield for the Ducati Panigale V4/V4S and Streetfighter V4 replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The Ilmberger Carbon heat protector is made from special, high-temperature prepreg mats that dissipate heat particularly well. The component is supplied in a gloss finish, contrasting with the partially standard or Ducati Performance matte carbon parts.

The focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then, as usual, covered with a clear plastic coating for protection against environmental influences. This plastic coating far exceeds the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating not only scores technically; it also significantly accentuates the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
