General Description

Through a combination of elegant curves and sharp edges, the carbon exhaust heat protector hugs the modern lines of the new Aprilia like no other. But it's not just visually appealing; it also offers many technical advantages. High-quality carbon dissipates heat significantly slower than the original part's materials would. This keeps the outer surface noticeably cooler and better protects the rider's foot from burns.
To achieve a particularly harmonious overall appearance, the fibre layers are expertly laid and aligned in the mould. This allows the carbon part to blend perfectly with the surrounding shapes of the motorcycle. The more of our parts that are installed and combined, the more stunning the result.
Only specially produced prepreg fabric, similar to that used in Formula 1 and aerospace, is used for the carbon. The material, elaborately laminated by hand and cured in several stages in an autoclave, not only boasts a unique appearance but also exceptional technical properties. For the same volume, it has three times the specific stiffness of steel and, due to its particularly low density, only a breakageth of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our products due to the high fibre volume content.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from all kinds of environmental influencess, Ilmberger Carbon is the only carbon manufacturer worldwide to use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with clear lacquer, this creates an unprecedented and unique depth effect, which particularly highlights the high quality of the material.
So that not only riding but also wrenching is a pleasure, only the original mounting points are used for this part.
