General description

With its combination of elegant curves and sharp edges, the carbon exhaust heat protector blends seamlessly into the modern lines of the new Aprilia like no other. But it offers many advantages, not only visually but also technically. High-quality carbon conducts heat significantly slower than the materials of the original part would. Thus, the outside remains noticeably cooler in comparison, and the foot is better protected from burns.
To achieve a particularly harmonious overall appearance, the fibre layers are laid and aligned in the mould by experts. This ensures the carbon part perfectly integrates with the surrounding shapes of the motorcycle. The more of our parts installed and combined, the more impressive the result.
Only prepreg fabric, specially produced for this purpose and similar to what is used in Formula 1 and aerospace, is used for the carbon. The material, painstakingly laminated by hand and cured in several stages in an autoclave, impresses not only with its unique appearance but also with its exceptional technical properties. For the same volume, it possesses three times the specific stiffness of steel and, due to its particularly low density, only a breakage of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our products due to the high fibre volume content.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from all kinds of environmental influencess, Ilmberger Carbon, as the only carbon manufacturer worldwide, uses a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with clear lacquer, this creates an unprecedented and unique depth effect, which highlights the high quality of the material particularly well.
So that not only riding but also fitting is a pleasure, only the original mounting points are used for this part.
