The 2-piece carbon exhaust heat shield for the BMW R NineT Scrambler replaces the original component using the original mounting points. Our exhaust heat shield weighs just under 40g. The focus is on weight saving (typically savings of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and higher rigidity. For these thermally highly stressed parts, we use special high-temperature prepreg material (see FAQ) to prevent discolouration and yellowing. The carbon part was manufactured completely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, subsequently coated with a clear plastic coating for protection against environmental influences. This plastic coating enormously surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in protective effect, scratch resistance and durability.
