The carbon engine cover for the Ducati Monster 1200 and 1200 S from model 2017 is delivered with a matt lacquered surface and thus blends perfectly into the overall appearance of the original Ducati and Ducati Performance parts.The focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and higher rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured completely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, in the next step, as is customary with us, coated with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. However, the coating not only scores technically, but it also clearly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
