Ilmberger Carbon Engine Cover right side R/S, gloss carbon, with ABE as per application list, for Ducati Monster 1200, 1200S, model year 2017-General Description
The carbon engine cover for the Ducati Monster 1200 and 1200 S from model year 2017 is supplied with a gloss finish, seamlessly integrating with the overall look of original Ducati and Ducati Performance parts. The focus is on weight reduction (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from pre-preg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines. As is customary for us, it was then coated with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. However, the coating not only excels technically but also clearly emphasises the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
