Visually highlighting the sporty character of an engine is no easy task. However, our mould makers have impressively succeeded with the horizontal engine cover for the Ducati Multistrada DVT (from model year 2015) and the Multistrada Enduro (from model year 2016). The imposing, one-piece cover is attached to the original mounting points on the engine, completely replacing the original plastic component. The part is supplied with a gloss finish, which contrasts with the original Ducati Performance carbon parts that are supplied with a matte finish for these models. This highly resistant carbon part also effectively protects the engine from damage in the event of a fall. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from Prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines, and in the next step, as is customary for us, coated with a clear plastic finish for protection against environmental influences. This plastic finish far surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in its protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability.
