The carbon cover under the frame, matt finish, for the Ducati XDiavel (from model year 2016) replaces the original part and is bolted to the original mounting points on the vehicle. The high-tech carbon part weighs only about 60g, making it significantly lighter than its standard plastic counterpart! But as always, the focus is not only on weight savings but also on the increased stiffness of the material and the particularly sporty look of the carbon fibres. The matt finish perfectly matches the original Ducati Performance carbon parts. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, then coated with a clear plastic finish to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating enormously surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability.
