General description

The upper fuel tank cover replaces the original part using the original mounting points. The fuel tank cover connects the two upper fairing halves and gives the V4 an even more aggressive look. Naturally, the Ilmberger carbon part is equipped with cut-outs for engine exhaust air. The carbon part is delivered with a matt finish and thus perfectly matches the partly standard or Ducati Performance offered matt carbon parts.

The focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and higher rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, in the next step, coated with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences.
This plastic coating enormously surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance and durability. But the coating not only scores technically; it also significantly accentuates the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
