The cockpit wind deflector for the BMW R 1250 GS with ABE from model year 2019 replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as usual, then coated with a clear plastic coating for protection against environmental influences. This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability.
