The Carbon Cockpit Wind Deflector left side L/S for the BMW R1200GS (LC from 2013) replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The focus is on weight savings (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and higher rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, was then coated with a clear plastic finish to protect it against environmental influences. This plastic coating enormously surpasses the usual clear lacquer finish in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. However, the coating not only scores technically, but it also clearly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
