Installed in just a few steps, the clutch cover not only protects the underlying components, but also offers significant visual added value. To achieve a particularly harmonious overall appearance, the fibre layers are expertly laid and aligned in the mould. This way, the carbon part nestles perfectly into the surrounding shapes of the motorcycle. The more of our parts that are installed and combined, the more impressive the result.

Each part is produced in our own facility, where we rely on prepreg, specially developed for Ilmberger, as the base material. This is processed in a sophisticated autoclave procedure, offering numerous advantages.

Prepreg, a pre-impregnated carbon fabric, is characterised by a uniform resin distribution while simultaneously having a high fibre volume content. This results in maximum strength and increases the flexibility of the components. Processing in an autoclave, a high-pressure oven that operates under controlled temperature and pressure conditions, ensures perfect, uniform curing and a flawless surface. This method prevents air inclusions in the material and ensures consistently high quality of the parts.

Our carbon parts are laminated by hand with great experience and care, allowing for consistent fibre alignment without distortion. After curing in the autoclave, the edges of the parts are precisely cut by robot to ensure a perfect fit and the highest quality.

A globally unique step in Ilmberger's production is the complete plastic powder coating of all carbon parts. This coating not only protects the parts from environmental influences but also gives them an incomparable deep effect. No other carbon manufacturer offers this type of sealing, which prevents the parts from ageing and significantly extends their service life. The final clear coat on this component is high-gloss, providing a perfect, smooth surface that further accentuates the luxurious-sporty look of our carbon parts. Every part that leaves our production is a masterpiece of engineering and design, meeting the highest standards.
