The chain of the Ducati Diavel V4 exerts immense force over the swingarm. corresponding protection is essential. The chainguard from Ilmberger Carbon fulfils this task like no other!The final clear lacquer layer comes in the matt version and is identical to the clear lacquer used on the Ducati Performance parts.
For our carbon, we exclusively use prepreg fabric produced specifically for this purpose, which is also used in a similar form in Formula 1 and aerospace. The material, meticulously laminated by hand and cured in several stages in an autoclave, convinces not only with its unique appearance but also with its unique technical properties. For the same volume, it possesses three times the specific stiffness of steel, and at the same time, due to its exceptionally low density, only a breakage of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our products due to the high fibre volume content.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from all kinds of environmental influencesn, we, as the only carbon manufacturer worldwide, use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with our clear lacquer, this provides an unprecedented and unique deep effect, which particularly highlights the high quality of the material.
So that not only riding but also fitting is a pleasure, we use only the original mounting points for this part.
