The front upper mudguard for the BMW R1200GS (LC) from model year 2013 replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The focus is on weight reduction (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg material (see FAQ) in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then, as is customary for us, coated with a clear plastic finish to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating far surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating not only scores points technically; it also clearly emphasises the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
