The extra thick carbon alternator cover for long-distance use for the BMW S1000RR Stocksport/Racing (2010-current) is partly bolted on with the alternator cover screws and additionally glued with a small dot to the front area of the alternator cover. This product enhances the vehicle and provides additional protection against damage. The parts are mounted using supplied adhesive strips and/or the use of original mounting points. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, subsequently coated with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating enormously surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability.
