The carbon air intake on the fairing part with a matt finish for the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade (SP), SC82, from 2020- replaces the original component using the original mounting points.The focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and higher rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, was then coated with a clear plastic finish to protect against environmental influences. This plastic finish enormously surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in its protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating doesn't just score points technically; it also significantly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
