The right air intake (upper water cooler cover) in carbon for the BMW R1200GS (LC) replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The focus is on weight savings (typically around 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part is manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then, as is customary for us, coated with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating vastly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. However, the coating not only scores technically, but it also significantly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure. The weight of our upper water cooler cover in carbon for the BMW R1200GS from model year 2013 is only approx. 175 grams!
