Rivet link 525 HOGeneral Description
Most motorcycles are now supplied with endless chains (non-sealed or sealed with rubber O-rings) that are permanently closed at the factory with a rivet link. A rivet link is always used for high-performance vehicles, meaning heavily stressed and fast-running chains. In contrast to the aforementioned clip link, proper permanent inseparable riveting is the safer option.All ENUMA® o-ring- and Quadra-X-Ring-chains designed for high-performance motorcycles also include the exact matching rivet link for the chain.
Note:
There are two different versions of rivet links on the market – with hollow rivets or solid rivets. Special tools are required for proper riveting for both types!
While the hollow rivet pins are expanded with a punch after fitting the outer plate for security, the tool simply flattens the head for solid rivet pins. After proper and professional riveting of the solid rivet pins of the master link, you will no longer notice any difference from the surrounding chain links.
ENUMA® DEX chains are supplied exclusively with hollow rivet links. All other chains include solid rivet links.
