Rivet link 420 HGeneral description
Most motorcycles are now delivered with endless chains (unsealed or sealed with rubber O-rings), which are permanently closed at the factory with a rivet link. A rivet link is always used on high-performance vehicles, meaning heavily stressed and fast-running chains. In contrast to the aforementioned clip-type master link, a proper, permanent, non-detachable riveting is the safer option.All ENUMA® o-ring- and Quadra-X-Ring chains, which are designed for high-performance motorcycles, also include the precisely matching rivet link for the chain.
Note:
There are two different versions of rivet links on the market - with hollow rivets or solid rivets. Special tools are required for proper riveting of both types!
While hollow rivet pins are splayed out with a punch after fitting the outer plate for security, the tool simply flattens the head of solid rivet pins. After the proper and professional riveting of the solid rivet pins of the master link, you will no longer notice any difference from the surrounding chain links.
ENUMA® DEX chains are supplied exclusively with hollow rivet links. All other chains include solid rivet links.
