Rivet Link EK 530 MVXZ-2 GOLDGeneral description
Rivet link:Most motorcycles are now supplied with endless chains (non-sealed or sealed with O-rings), which are permanently and securely closed at the factory with a rivet link. A rivet link is always used for high-performance vehicles, and thus for heavily loaded and fast-running chains. In contrast to the aforementioned clip link, proper, permanent, non-detachable riveting is the safer option.
Note on rivet links:
There are two different versions of rivet links on the market – with hollow rivets or solid rivets. Special tools are required for correct riveting for both types!
While hollow rivet pins are spread open with a punch for security after placing the outer plate, the tool simply flattens the head of solid rivet pins. After correct and professional riveting of the solid rivet pins of the master link, you will no longer notice any difference to the surrounding chain links.
