Hollow rivet link EK 530 MVXZ2 ORANGEGeneral description
Rivet link:Most motorcycles are now delivered with endless chains (unsealed or sealed with O-rings) which are permanently closed at the factory with a rivet link. A rivet link is always used for high-performance vehicles, and thus for highly stressed and fast-running chains. In contrast to the clip link mentioned above, proper, permanent, non-detachable riveting is the safer option.
Note on rivet links:
There are two different types of rivet links on the market – with hollow rivets or solid rivets. Special tools are required for the correct riveting of both types!
While hollow rivet pins are splayed out with a punch after the outer plate has been placed for securing, the tool simply flattens the head for solid rivet pins. After the solid rivet pins of the connecting link have been correctly and professionally riveted, you will no longer notice any difference from the surrounding chainnglieder.
