Hollow rivet link EK 530 MVXZ2 METALLIC GREENGeneral Description
Rivet link:Most motorcycles are now delivered with endless chains (unsealed or sealed with rubber rings) which are permanently closed at the factory with a rivet link. A rivet link is always used for high-performance vehicles, and thus for highly stressed and fast-running chains. In contrast to the aforementioned clip link, proper permanent insoluble riveting is the safer option.
Note on rivet links:
There are two different versions of rivet links on the market – with hollow rivets or solid rivets. Both types require special tools for proper riveting!
While hollow rivet pins are splayed out with a punch after fitting the outer plate for securing, the tool simply flattens the head for solid rivet pins. After proper and professional riveting of the solid rivet pins of the master link, you will no longer see any difference from the surrounding chains.
