Hollow rivet link EK 530 MVXZ2 GREENGeneral Description
Rivet Link:Most motorcycles are now delivered with endless chains (unsealed or sealed with O-rings) which are permanently closed with a rivet link at the factory. A rivet link is always used for high-performance vehicles, and thus heavily loaded and fast-running chains. In contrast to the aforementioned clip link, proper permanent non-detachable riveting is the safer option.
Note on Rivet Links:
There are two different versions of rivet links on the market – with hollow rivets or solid rivets. Special tools are required for proper riveting for both types!
While hollow rivet pins are flared with a punch after fitting the outer plate for securing, the tool simply flattens the head for solid rivet pins. After proper and professional riveting of the solid rivet pins of the master link, you will no longer see any difference from the surrounding chain links.
