Hollow Rivet Link EK 520 MVXZ2 YELLOWGeneral description
Rivet Link:Nowadays, most motorcycles are delivered with endless chains (unsealed or sealed with O-rings) which are permanently closed with a rivet link at the factory. A rivet link is always used for high-performance vehicles, meaning heavily stressed and fast-running chain.
In contrast to the aforementioned clip link, proper, permanent, non-detachable riveting is the safer option.
Note on rivet links:
There are two different types of rivet links available on the market – with hollow rivets or solid rivets. Special tools are required for proper riveting for both types!
While hollow rivet pins are spread with a mandrel after fitting the outer plate for securing, the tool simply flattens the head for solid rivet pins. After the proper and professional riveting of the solid rivet pins of the master link, you will no longer see any difference compared to the surrounding chain links.
