Hollow rivet link EK 520 MVXZ2 METALLIC GREENGeneral description
Rivet link:Most motorcycles are now delivered with endless chains (non-sealed or sealed with O-rings) that are permanently and securely closed at the factory with a rivet link. A rivet link is always used for high-performance vehicles, and thus heavily stressed and fast-running chains. In contrast to the clip link mentioned above, proper, permanent, and inseparable riveting is the safer option.
Note on rivet links:
There are two different designs of rivet links on the market – with hollow rivets or solid rivets. Special tools are required for proper riveting for both types!
While hollow rivet pins are spread with a mandrel after fitting the outer plate for secure fastening, the tool simply flattens the head of solid rivet pins. After the solid rivet pins of the link are properly and professionally riveted, you will no longer notice any difference from the surrounding chain links.
