General Description

Our carbon lower engine guard for the R 1250 GS has been slightly raised in the front section and its shape enlarged to provide better protection against dirt and stone chips. A comparison photo with the original lower engine guard can be found in the photo selection above. Weight only approx. 430 grams! The carbon lower engine guard for the BMW R 1250 GS replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The focus is on weight savings (typically savings of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity.

The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then covered with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating doesn't just score points technically; it also clearly accentuates the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
