General Description
BMC replacement sport air filters are high-performance filters, offering greater airflow than conventional air filter, thereby positively impacting the engine's combustion process.They can easily be swapped for the original air filter, are washable and therefore have an almost lifelong durability.
BMC sport air filters are made from a multi-layered cotton gauze soaked in a low-viscosity oil. The filter gauze is reinforced by an aluminium mesh, which is protected against gas vapours and oxidation by an epoxy coating. Impurities are filtered from the air, absorbed by the cotton fibres, and bound by the filter oil.
This keeps the power, performance of the filter constant for a long time.
BMC sport air filters are produced using a special process called "Full Moulding". This process allows the distinctive red filter to be manufactured in a single piece. The material used is very durable and adapts to any shape of air filter boxes thanks to its flexibility.
