General description
The BMC motorcycle Race air filter differs from the standard BMC sport air filter by offering an even higher airflow (up to 60%) without negatively affecting its filtering performance. It is identifiable by a yellow stripe on the filter surface. The BMC Race Air Filter is recommended for motorsport use only. The Race Filter requires more frequent cleaning, and for most motorcycles, a new adjustment of the fuel mixture preparation is necessary. This is achieved either through an auxiliary control unit, such as a Power Commander, new mapping, or larger carburettor jets for the carburetor.These BMC Race air filter are pre-oiled from the factory and delivered ready for installation.
