General description
BMC replacement sports air filters are high-performance filters, offering higher airflow than conventional air filter, which positively impacts the engine's combustion process.They can be easily exchanged for the original air filter, are washable/reusable and therefore virtually last a lifetime.
BMC sports air filters are made from a multi-layered cotton fabric soaked with a low-viscosity oil. The filter fabric is reinforced by an aluminium mesh, which is protected from gas fumes and oxidation by epoxy paint. Contaminants are filtered from the air, absorbed by the cotton fibres and bound by the filter oil.
This ensures the filter's power, performance remains constant for a long time.
BMC sports air filters are manufactured using a special process called "Full Moulding". This process makes it possible to produce the distinctively red filter in a single piece. The material used is very durable and adapts to any shape of the air filter box thanks to its flexibility.
