General Description

XXZ Mono shock absorber – direct evolution from racing. Thanks to its versatile adjustment options, the Bitubo XXZ shock absorber is easy to adapt even when installed.

The development of this damper culminates in a general weight reduction through the use of an aluminium body – a crucial point for tailoring handling to the rider's requirements. Furthermore, a new set-up has been developed to further focus the XXZ on racing performance. An upgrade for optimised performance and simplification of length and spring preload adjustment has also been installed.

The aim is to offer the rider precise control and maximum grip, even in extreme lean angles or during rapid changes of direction, as well as even tyre wear. It offers maximum confidence during acceleration on all road surfaces and perfect stability of the vehicle, even during the hardest braking.

Innovation also prevails inside the damper. With technically new solutions, the damping coefficient and stability at high frequencies are improved.
By using a piston rod with 14 mm diameter, the sliding behaviour is improved, while the Ø30mm separating piston reduces uncontrolled movements of the hydraulic oil. These improvements lead to a reduction in inertia forces and thus enable immediate control of oscillating spring movements. Special attention was also paid to improving and simplifying the adjustment options, which are now all located in the lower part of the damper.
