General Description

XXZ Mono shock absorber – the direct evolution from racing. Thanks to its versatile adjustment options, the Bitubo XXZ shock absorber can be easily adapted even when installed.

The development of this shock absorber culminates in an overall weight reduction through the use of an aluminium housing – a crucial point for tailoring handling to the rider's requirements. Furthermore, a new set-up has been developed to further align the XXZ with racing performance. An upgrade for optimised performance and simplification of length and hydraulic spring preload adjustment has also been installed.

The goal is to offer the rider precise control and maximum grip, even at extreme lean angles or during rapid changes of direction, as well as uniform tire wear. It offers maximum confidence during acceleration on all street surfaces and perfect stability of the rear wheel, even under the hardest braking.

Innovation also prevails inside the shock absorber. With technically new solutions, the damping coefficient and stability at high temperature are improved.
By using a piston rod with a 14 mm diameter, sliding behaviour is improved, while the Ø30mm separating piston reduces uncontrolled movements of the hydraulic oil. These improvements lead to a reduction in inertia forces and thus enable immediate control of oscillating spring movements. Special attention was also paid to improving and simplifying the adjustment options, which are now all located in the upper part of the shock absorber.
