General description

The Off-road shock absorber CYU is gas-assisted, with a separating piston for oil / nitrogen in the fixed balance tank. It features a Ø16 mm piston rod – specially coated for the lowest friction coefficient – with a low-friction bushing. The lower and upper mountings, made from an aluminium alloy also used in aviation, are precisely CNC machined.
The balance tank is separate from the housing to allow for better positioning on the vehicle and to optimise the cooling of the hydraulic oil. They are connected by a flexible, steel-braided hose. The setting of the spring preload is hydraulic and can be adjusted both manually and with a 14 mm HH screw. The shock absorber improves feedback from the bike and increases grip and comfort.
