General description

XXT Mono shock absorbers – the direct evolution from racing. Thanks to its versatile adjustment options, the Bitubo XXT shock absorber is easy to adjust even when installed.

The development of this damper culminates in a general weight reduction through the use of an aluminium body – an important point for tailoring handling to rider requirements. Furthermore, a new set-up has been developed to further align the XXT with racing performance. An upgrade for optimised performance and simplification of length and hydraulic spring preload adjustment has also been installed.

The aim is to offer the rider precise control and maximum grip, even at extreme lean angles or during rapid changes of direction, as well as even tire wear. It offers the greatest confidence when accelerating on all street surfaces and perfect stability of the rear wheel, even under the hardest braking.

Innovation also prevails inside the damper. With technically new solutions, the damping coefficient and stability at high temperatures are improved.
By using a piston rod with a 14 mm diameter, the sliding behaviour is improved, while the Ø30mm separator piston reduces the uncontrolled movements of the hydraulic oil. These improvements lead to a reduction of inertial forces and thus enable immediate control of oscillating spring movements.
