General description

CLU - the link between street and racing. This high-performance shock absorber is dedicated to street and sports motorcycles. It is a gas-pressure supported shock absorber, with a separating piston for oil/nitrogen in the balance tank, Ø16mm piston rod with anti-friction coating and a friction-minimised bushing. The lower and upper mountings are made of an aluminium alloy, as used in aerospace - precisely CNC machined. The setting of the spring preload is hydraulic and can be adjusted both manually and with a 14 mm HH screw.

The balance tank is separated from the housing to allow for better positioning on the vehicle and to optimise the cooling of the hydraulic oil. They are connected by a flexible, steel-braided hose. The shock absorber improves feedback from the bike and increases grip as well as comfort.

The last digit in the shock absorber's designation indicates the colour of the spring: "1" stands for a red spring, while shock absorbers with the ending "2" have a black spring. For example, the shock absorber "CLU31" has a red spring, "CLU32" consequently has a black one.
