General description

XXZ mono shock absorbers – the direct evolution from racing. Thanks to the versatile adjustment options, the Bitubo XXZ shock absorber can be easily adjusted even when installed.

The development of this shock absorber culminates in a general weight reduction through the use of an aluminium housing – an important point for tuning the handling to the rider's requirements. Furthermore, a new set-up was developed to further align the XXZ with racing performance. An upgrade for optimised performance and simplification of length and hydraulic spring preload adjustment has also been installed.

The aim is to offer the rider precise control and maximum grip, even in extreme lean angles or during rapid changes of direction, as well as even tire wear. It offers maximum confidence when accelerating on all street surfaces and perfect stability of the rear wheel, even under the hardest braking.

Innovation also prevails inside the shock absorber. With technically new solutions, the damping coefficient and stability at high temperatures are improved.
By using a 14 mm diameter piston rod, the sliding behaviour is improved, while the Ø30mm separation piston reduces uncontrolled movements of the hydraulic oil. These improvements lead to a reduction in inertia forces and thus enable immediate control of oscillating spring movements. Special attention was also paid to improving and simplifying the adjustment options, all of which are now located in the upper part of the shock absorber.
