General Description

XXZ Mono shock absorber – the direct evolution from racing. Thanks to its versatile adjustment options, the Bitubo XXZ shock absorber is easy to adapt even when installed.

The development of this shock absorber culminates in a general weight reduction through the use of an aluminium casing – an important point for tailoring the handling to the rider's requirements. Furthermore, a new setup was developed to align the XXZ even more with racing performance. An upgrade for optimised performance and simplification of length and hydraulic spring preload adjustment was also installed.

The aim is to offer the rider precise control and maximum grip, even in extreme lean angles or during rapid changes of direction, as well as even tire wear. It offers the greatest confidence when accelerating on all street surfaces and perfect stability of the rear wheel, even under the hardest braking.

Innovation also prevails inside the shock absorber. With technically new solutions, the damping coefficient and stability at high temperatures are improved. By using a 14mm diameter piston rod, sliding behaviour is improved, while the Ø30mm separator piston reduces uncontrolled movements of the hydraulic oil. These improvements lead to a reduction in inertial forces, thus enabling immediate control of oscillating spring movements. Special attention was also paid to improving and simplifying the adjustment options, which are now all located in the upper part of the shock absorber.
